"I am very proud of Wales’ Active Travel Act. It’s a ground-breaking piece of legislation which clearly shows the importance we place on improving people’s health and wellbeing through active travel.

"The creation of the Integrated Network Maps – plans for networks of new and improved routes – is a unique opportunity for the public to help shape how cycling and walking is delivered in the future.

"I am delighted that this new webtool makes it easier for people to get involved in the process and I would encourage everyone to take part to help shape the future of their communities.”

Rebecca Evans, Minister for Social Services and Public Health

Do you have an idea for a new or improved cycle or walking route in your local area? Now’s the time to share your views and local knowledge, and we’re here to help you do so.

Cycling UK, the national cycling charity, Living Streets, Sustrans Cymru and Welsh Cycling are working together to help make walking and cycling in your local community work for you.

Currently, thanks to the Active Travel Act, every local authority in Wales has to draw up plans for a network of walking and cycling routes which will help your journey easier. You can find out when your local authority is consulting here.

Whether you go to school, work, the shops or visit your nearby leisure centre under your own steam, local authorities need your local knowledge on what routes are needed to make cycling and walking easier in your area!

We’ve made it really easy to register your interest with your local authority. Just enter your details below, click “next” and on the next page you’ll see an editable letter registering your interest to get involved with the relevant local authority.

Take part now and make a real difference where it matters most - your neighbourhood!
