Did your candidates support our vision for cycling in Northern Ireland?
Ahead of polling day on 5 May, we asked MLA candidates to pledge their support for three simple asks which would enable more people to cycle - and people to cycle more often - in Northern Ireland.
Unfortunately, we have now closed our 'write to candidate' action. However, you can still find out which of your candidates made the pledge by entering your postcode below.
What's the pledge?
Riding a bike should be a normal way to make day-to-day journeys, not just a leisure activity. We believe the next Stormont Assembly should be moving up the gears and get more people walking and cycling.
We set out what needs to change to make that happen in our Manifesto for Cycling, but we're now asking candidates directly if they will pledge their support - and you can help.
Candidates were, if elected, to pledge to support:
- Investment in Cycling, Walking and Wheeling – introduce an Active Travel Act, and commit 10% of the transport budget to active travel
- Safety on our roads – bring in lower speed limits and prioritise cycling in the new Road Safety Strategy
- Connect where people live, to where they work, learn and play – through safe cycle lanes and improved space for bikes on public transport
