Wales/Cymru local elections 2022: Will candidates from your council deliver for cycling?
We asked your council candidates to pledge their support for three simple asks which would enable more people to cycle - and people to cycle more often - in Wales/Cymru.
Unfortunately, we have now closed our 'write to candidate' action. However, you can still find out which candidates made the pledge by entering your postcode below.
What's the pledge?
The politicians you elect in May can deliver the safe and accessible cycling and walking networks needed to tackle climate change, address health and wellbeing inequalities, and build communities where more everyday journeys are active travel journeys.
They can realise the benefits of cycling, but only with ambition and investment, making use of the increased funding now available. But to make sure they step up and make this happen, they need to hear that people in Wales want this.
Our manifesto for cycling asks candidates to:
- Build capacity to deliver the ambitions of the Active Travel Act
- Prioritise cycling to schools with school streets, Bikeability training and separated cycle routes
- Ensure that cycling is accessible to all, wherever they live
