Save the Active School Travel Programme!

This action is now closed - thank you to everyone who took the time to give their support. Please visit our Northern Ireland page for updates on the Active School Travel Programme and all of Cycling UK's work in Northern Ireland

Just 1% of children in Northern Ireland cycle to school - less than anywhere else in the UK or in Ireland. Now the one scheme helping to change that is being cut.

This scheme is being cut despite the fact it will save just 0.2% of the Department for Infrastructure budget shortfall.

Cycling UK, alongside Sustrans, who run the programme, believe the negative impacts of the cut are not justified given its proven long term benefits.

Tell the Department for Infrastructure to cancel the cuts!
