An estimated 1,800 pedestrians have died on our roads since 2014 when the Government promised a full review of traffic offences and penalties.
However, with 99.4% of pedestrian deaths on Britain’s roads involving a motor vehicle the Government has instead announced they will look just at
Cycling UK, Brake and RoadPeace see this limited review as a wasted opportunity to look at the bigger problems with road traffic laws. We want
a wider review of road traffic offences - not tinkering around the edges.
