Cycle Friendly Places
Does your hospitality or accommodation business go the extra mile to welcome cyclists? Are you based in Kent, Cornwall or Norfolk? If so, join our new accreditation programme.
What is Cycle Friendly Places?
Cycle Friendly Places is a new accreditation scheme that allows your business to stand out from the crowd. It recognises outstanding hospitality and accommodation businesses, which make a cyclist's stay memorable. Whether that's providing bikes and storage for customers, recommending nearby routes, or just welcoming a cyclist with open arms after a long day in the saddle.
Thanks to co-funding from the European Regional Development Fund, the accreditation is free of charge for businesses in Norfolk, Kent and Cornwall.
Why become Cycle Friendly?
Cycle Friendly Places will be promoted to Cycling UK's network of over 70,000 members and the wider cycling community. Accredited businesses will also have access to exclusive training, advice and resources.
Once accredited, your business can display the Cycle Friendly Places logo online. You will also enjoy enhanced listing on Cycling UK's go to guide for domestic and international cyclists looking for accommodation and places to eat, Cyclists Welcome.
In Cycling UK's recent survey, 79% of cyclists said a Cycle Friendly Place would be more appealing than a comparable business (Cycling UK, Improving Tourism Facilities for Cyclists, 2020).
